Matt Katsis is proud to announce the drop of his highly anticipated and credited debut solo album, ‘Barebones’.

Coinciding with its release, an eight-leg album tour across Victoria. See corresponding dates and locations below.

A relentless work/show-ethic has seen Katsis take on the Australian market with the ease and quality that parallel’s his music. Often backed by ‘The India Black’, together they ooze the musicality of both traditional and contemporary. A Roots/Progressive Rock/Reggae crossover.

‘Barebones’ is a reflection of all the authentic and raw elements taken from a ‘live’ gig. Each track either being recorded one-time-only in the studio or via stage.“With all the solo gigs and busking I had been doing over the Summer, I wanted to capture that on record. So what you hear live is what you get on record.” Katsis.

A product of Bakehouse Studios (Fitzroy) recorded and mixed by Callum John Barter (British India, Dan Sultan, Big Scary), ‘Barebones’ is now available in hard copy or digital download.

‘Ain’t That Just Life’, the first single is a trip down genuine-lane. Its highs and lows building and falling in all the right places.‘Waiting’ and ‘Lies’ may sound slightly familiar – they featured on MK&TIB’s debut EP, ‘Rise’, these are the stripped back and unchained versions. Focusing on the basic elements of the songs to envelop and hyponotise its listeners.‘Voodoo Child’ familiar for completely different reasoning, a Jimi Hendrix classic, and Matt Katsis’ first cover. A challenge made defiant.

With plans to hit New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania in coming months, stay tuned and see you on the road.
